Wailin Rubén Batista Guzmán, apodado artísticamente como Wailin Swagger, nació en Santiago de los Caballeros, República Dominicana un 3 de julio de 1981. Expresa su arte a través de la música y se identifica como un intérprete de la Bachata, el género más popular de su país. Su interés por la música nació a temprana edad ya que formaba parte del negocio familiar. A los siete años se muda a la ciudad de Nueva York, Estados Unidos, e inicia sus estudios musicales en la escuela John Jay en Brooklyn, donde aprendió la teoría básica para tocar distintos instrumentos, enfocándose más en la interpretación del trombón. En su etapa adolescente, Wailin apresuraba sus salidas de la escuela para encontrarse en un parque con sus amigos a componer sus primeras canciones. En el año 1997 se integra como corista a un grupo de merengue llamado Welbin y su Mambo Puro, enfrentándose por primera vez a un público y a la tarima. Dos años después, forma parte de su primera agrupación de bachata.

The Lovepools are a Los Angeles indie rock, alt pop, and synthpop band created by Anthony Shea (Vocals, Synths, Guitars, Production) assisted by Devin McGee on drums. Following the release of two EPs, The Lovepools first single, "See You In The Funny Papers," was featured on Showtime's "Shameless" Season 9 Premiere. The track drew comparisons to The Black Keys and Arctic Monkeys for its fuzz guitars and clever lyrics. The next break for the group came in May 2020, when the band inked a record deal with Sword Music (distribution by Sony Music Italy). This paved the way for a series of synth-driven singles, most notably "White Lies & Palm Trees" a synthpop anthem inspired by groups like Foster The People and Empire of the Sun. The ethereal track graced the airwaves of major Italian radio stations and college radio across the US. A live action/animation music video was promptly released and seen on Italian TV including MTV Italy. Their latest single, "Something = Nothing" was independently released worldwide on September 15th, 2023
